Kelsey and Nick (Nicholas) were the best guides. The tours were awesome and wheelchair accessible. The servers were awesome and took very good care of us but I'm sure they were confused that we didn't eat The food. The breakfast The next morning was also cold and full of pepper. The server was great and warmed up all the food but it had so much pepper we couldn't eat it. The dinners for all four of us were cold I mean cold and way to much pepper on all of it. The ramp leading into to yurt was in need of some railings and a little fence on the parking pad wouldn't hurt so no one accidentally did not end up down the hill.The food that you are served with the stay in the yurts was horrible. The bed was too high for most wheelchair bound people. Stayed in one of their yurts, wheelchair accessible if your high functioning paraplegic or better. Went to The Wilds a part of Columbus Zoo South East of Columbus. This will include zip line and horseback ride. This was the first in a long time that my grandkids all thanked me immediately and said they had a fabulous time on safari and started planning their next visit during the 3 hour car ride home. Wanted to visit the butterfly meadows, but the rain was getting heavy, so we opted out. I would have purchased one of his beautifully painted ostrich eggs in the gift shop if I didn’t already have way too many knickknacks sitting around my house collecting dust. He kept everyone’s attention with his depth of knowledge. ![]() Harley was our guide, great sense of humor and able and willing to answer all questions thrown his way. I opted for the basic open air safari for our first visit. ![]() ![]() and how something good was formed from the strip mining travesty that destroyed so many trees and tens of thousands acres of habitats in Appalachian Ohio. Been wanting to visit since having a zoo membership when I lived closer, but just never go around to going. Took my three grandkids, ages 10, 11, and 12 and they all loved it. The Wilds is a super special place doing super special good for animals.
